What would you like to accomplish this week?
I would like to survive my first week at my new job and try not to screw up anything too badly.
I survived my first day of work.
All thing's considering, I think thats a good start.
But I am flippin' tired. I think I might go to bed now.
Did I tell you I saw the Incredible Hulk this weekend?
I did. It wasn't incredible but it was pretty good. I didn't see the last one so I can't compare them but if you're looking for some action and explosions and Edward Norton go see it.
I moved 1/3 the way across the country.
I didn't die.
So why the hell does everyone act like I did?
Maybe it would make me feel better.
If you had to go on a two-week vacation with any celebrity, who would you pick as your traveling companion and where would you go?
Does Tortuga count? She was spotlighted on Vox, so that's almost celebrity.
And I don't care where we go. I just need someone who is made of WIN right now and can deal with all the snark and bitterness seething from every pore in my body.
Plus she is a paleface and won't give me a hard time when I don't want to go sit on the beach for endless hours.
I just can't deal with Ego and Diva right now.
What album has been most influential in your life?
Submitted by Soup.
I'm gonna go with Savage Garden's self titled album.
What artist/band are you listening to the most right now? How did you discover him/her/them?
I have dug up the Goos again. My musical tastes are very cyclic, it will be nothing but one bad for months and then I'll move on to someone else.
I don't even remember where or when or how I discovered them. I am going to guess it was circa '96 when Name hit the radio.
Name would also be the theme of my move. I had it pretty much on repeat my last week in Btown, it was the last song I heard as I was leaving, and coincidentally we heard it in when we were getting lunch right after my lease signing fiasco.
Mom says its a good sign.
I say I still feel like I've had my soul sucked out and my empty body left to be eaten by ants.
PS. I just realized the subject says "recent music discovery". Whatever. New music sucks right now anyway.
First "Brokeback Mountain" was a short story written by Annie Proulx. Then, it was a movie directed by Ang Lee. Next, it will be an opera slated to premier during New York's City Opera's 2013 season.
What movie/book would you most like to see turned into an opera?
Why can't they ever just leave stuff alone.
Are creators and writers really all out of ideas that we have to keep remaking everything.
